Fusillo Italian food Pattaya in Naklua Road near the corner of 18/1 Alley is certainly worth a visit. Very good food at a reasonable price, & a glass of Chianti will set you back B140 or $6.80 AUD.
Indoor or outdoor seating
I can’t imaging why you would want to sit outside with the smokers. 🙂
For those of you who like to cook here is the RECIPE.
Spaghetti seafood
What a fabulous looking dish, such a shame I not a fan of mussels, my apologies to Patrick from Belgium. 🙂
Matt Harkness & Bow
I gotta tell you a funny story, Matt runs a factory near Rayong with a staff of around 70 people. Apart from his generous wage he receives a “hardship allowance” for living in Pattaya. What a classic. 🙂 🙂 🙂
The selfie Queen
It certainly would not be a hardship living with beautiful Bow. 🙂
Pizza anyone?
As you can see they are all here.
That’s all for now folks
Thanks for visiting my Fusillo Italian food Pattayaphoto blog.
Location
Update new location, see above.
Larger than the old place but the location is not as good.
Lunch today on Sepember 8 2021
Quite tasty but too much salad for me, I should have ordered a similar dish with pasta.
Lots of bars & restaurants in Naklua Rd, check out THIS LINK.
Hawker Chan Hollys Coffee are both at Terminal 21 in Pattaya, I visit both for lunch at least once a week. Being a creature of habit I always order the same dishes. Hawker Chan is located next to Foodland & Hollys Coffee is upstairs on Tokyo Street.
Here are your choices
Lots of delicious choices at very low prices. The noodle dishes are my favourite. Having said that I will have to make an effort to try some of the other dishes on offer.
Noodles & pork
Crispy pork belly & noodles is only B130 or $4.15 USD & totally mouth watering. The sauce they use with this dish is a fabulous taste.
Slight difference from the previous dish
It’s always difficult to decide between the roast pork or the pork belly. 🙂 You have to admit that is a great problem to have.
It’s worth mentioning the restaurant & tables etc are always spotlessly clean, & the staff very efficient.
Hollys Coffee
I think this may be the best pancake I have ever eaten, a little expensive for Thailand at B170 or $5.40 USD but worth every cent. 🙂
Living on Beach Road is so convenient, I can walk to Cental Marina in 5 minutes, Terminal 21 in 8 minutes & Central Festival in 10 minutes, that gives me access to about 250 restaurants. 🙂
I have never tasted a pancake so light & fluffy, it's the sort of desert you dream of. For many more terrific Pattaya deserts please just follow THIS LINK.
Hawker Chan Hollys Coffee
Put Hollys pancakes on your bucket list.
Thanks for visiting my photo blog. My lunch at these two restaurants totals B300, or $9.55 USD.
Australia burns Xmas 2019 from the worst bush fires ever experienced in this great country. As of January 4th 2020 a total of 18 people have died nationwide, and in the state of New South Wales alone, more than 900 houses have been destroyed. Sadly almost half a billion animals have been killed with fears entire species may have been wiped out. Ecologists from the University of Sydney now estimate 480 million mammals, birds and reptiles have been lost since September with the figure likely to continue to soar.
Losing so many animals is heartbreaking
Unprecedented temperatures across the continent have made this season’s fires particularly deadly, killing at least 20 people and bringing apocalyptic scenes to an area roughly twice the size of Belgium.
One of our courageous fire fighters
The NSW Rural Fire Service, which has over 74,000 volunteer members, said that as of December 22, at least 829 homes have been destroyed in fires, including 100 homes in the last week.
How heartbreaking would this be?
Australia gives foreign aid totaling over $4 billion a year, Scott Morrison would be a hero if he cancelled all aid for 2020 & used it to rebuild every lost home & business caused by these horrific fires. Sadly though it’s not going to happen.
Many country towns have been devastated
I would be happy to see everyone who lost a home or a business given a $25K handout from government to help with the trauma they have suffered. Hold back foreign aid for 6 to 12 months, of course this will have an effect of a lot of the criminals who are using our aid money for their own benefit.
New Guinea for instance purchased 40 Maserati’s & 3 Bentley’s, despite their high levels of poverty, multiple health crises and shortages of basic services. Wander around the streets of Phnom Penh & see the Hummers & luxury vehicles driven by government officials, where do you bloody well think the money comes from?
Oh, and lets not forget Thailand where Deputy Prime Minister General Prawit Wongsuwan has appeared in public wearing 25 different high-end timepieces, with a total estimated value of $1.5 million. How did he afford these I wonder?
Hold back the aid & have a massive project to replant forests & set up areas where animals & birds can be bred to replace some of the millions we have lost. Let’s be “stingy” towards other countries & look after Australia first. I nearly forgot that we give Indonesia $300 million a year, & they don’t particularly like us, but in 2018 they spent about $400 million on attack helicopters, I wonder if we may see them in the sky over Darwin sometime in the future?
So many kangaroos lost….
So terrifying for these poor animals.
Australia burns Xmas 2019
How brave are these wonderful individuals?
Sadly some didn’t make it, RIP.
Two volunteer firefighters, Geoffrey Keaton, 32, and Andrew O’Dwyer, 36, died when their truck overturned battling the Green Wattle Creek blaze.
We owe so much to these brave people
There have been 10 deaths from the fires in NSW and Victoria so far this week, about half the total toll for the current fire season. Twenty-one people remain unaccounted for in Victoria, down from 28 reported Friday.
These guys & their colleagues deserve all the praise we can give them
Let’s hope they will be properly compensated for their effort.
Good way to be safe
Just head for the beach. 🙂
Kangaroo Island
Almost half of Kangaroo Island has been scorched as damage assessments continue into the devastating bushfires still burning on the South Australian island.
Smoke on Kangaroo Island
Overnight, many residents and tourists evacuated to Kingscote where they spent a sleepless night on the town’s oval and close to the jetty. Evacuees and residents have been stranded with many road closures still in place.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison
Finally I really wish people would stop criticizing Scott Morrison, he didn’t start the bloody fires, he seems to be a genuine nice fellow, sadly however the Greenies & the loony left wind Labor losers can’t help themselves. Take a look at this NEWS BULLETIN.
Thanks for visiting my Australia burns Xmas 2019 photo blog, I could write so much more about this national disaster, however enough is enough, I’m sure you get the picture. My opinions are bound to aggravate some people, my message to them is simple, please don’t confuse me with somebody who cares what you think. 🙂
Fat Coco Pattaya is certainly a noise machine, a couple of days after they opened, on December 28, the music was excellent, one of the many bands actually had saxophones etc. The following night the quality diminished greatly, quite monotonous including a shrieking female presenter with a microphone.
Life is good…..
Unless of course you are a neighbour (which I am) or a hotel guest trying to sleep. 🙂
Could this be the stairway to heaven?
Probably not, but here is the song anyhow by Led Zeppelin, by the way it goes for 8 minutes. 🙂
I like these colours
The opposite side is not as attractive, then again, at night with the music blaring who would really care?
If you want to just lounge around & listen to the music….
This is the place for you. 🙂
Jimmy Buffet knows exactly what to do.
The stage
Here is where the noise is manufactured. 🙂
There’s an attractive rubber duck.
It’s so important to have the right toys in a pool.
Another bar on the north side
Not sure what the drink prices are, but they were charging a whopping B500 or $24 AUD to enter. I wonder how many Thai ladies will fork out 500. I also wonder if they are actually being charged that ridiculous amount. They can come to my room in Markland & listen for free. 🙂 🙂 🙂
Here is my view
Trust me ladies the music is still very loud up here. This photo shows the pool area before it was transformed.
Fat Coco Pattaya
Even though they have been operating there is still some fine tuning to be done.
Cactus anyone?
Just don’t get too close if you have had too many tequilas. 🙂
“Tequila” is a 1958 Latin-flavored rock and roll instrumental recorded by the Champs. It is based on a Cuban mambo beat. The word “Tequila” is spoken three times throughout the tune.
La vida es buena
Of course you all know this means “life is good” in Spanish.
Finally the food…
Looks like wood fired pizzas to me.
Here is how it looked on Feb 16 2020.
On the 15th they had an event which was widely advertised, for some crazy reason the entry fee was B800, or $40 AUD. In my opinion very few Thai people or foreigners would pay that inflated price. It turns out there were only around 20 people, & half of those would have been staff.
Two days later
The wreaking crew moves in.
The cost so far must be very high
They don’t seem to understand people are not stupid, they want value for money on a night out.
Here is the next project
Let’s hope it has more success than Fat Coco, aka the noise machine. 🙂
Swimming pool is re-born
After the failure to attract a crowd they have done an about turn & bought back the swimming pool. The main reason for the failure was the entry fee of B800, or $40 AUD, nobody is prepared to pay such a ridiculous price.
Thanks for visiting my Fat Coco Pattaya photo blog. If you would like to stay in the A-One hotel, for a very good room discount just use THIS LINK.
Xmas Feast, Harlan Goldstein really knows how to look after his customers. We had the best table in the restaurant located in the VIP area, thanks to my great friend Hamish Elton who is a regular customer there. That’s Hamish above with his lovely lady May, he is drinking Mexican Heatwaves & May is enjoying mango juice.
We arrived very early
4pm Xmas day, no wonder the place was empty. 🙂
I’ll start with an ice cold Peroni
Before we arrived at the restaurant Hamish & I had knocked off a bottle of Verve Clicquot French Champagne.
A perfect start to Xmas dinner
Succulent oysters from France.
Large, tasty & salty, Tsarskaya oysters from Cancale
The Tsarkaya Oysters have been the food of royalty since the dawn of time, including for Roman emperors, French Kings and even Russian Tsars. This fully fleshed oyster is exclusively ripened and produced in the bay of Mont Saint Michel.
Recently I bought 4 dozen mixed French & Irish oysters to Pattaya from El Mercado in Bangkok. Hamish expertly shucked them on my balcony & we washed them down with a cold white wine from New Zealand.
Next course smoked salmon
Quite delicious, sitting on a small potato pancake with sour cream & caviar.
Cinnamon spiced sweet potato soup
I’m a soup lover & this one did not disappoint, it was fabulous. In case you were wondering they are Maple croutons. 🙂
Charcoal grilled rib eye of beef.
So tender & cooked to perfection., served with red wine onion sauce.
Xmas turkey with sausage
There were 3 choices for main course, Hamish went for the turkey.
Desert to finish
I’m a sucker for desert, I have to maintain my 112 kilo of weight. 🙂
Xmas Feast Harlan Goldstein
The busy chef joined us for a quick break & a cold beer then back to work. 🙂
The heavy artillery.
Can you believe they named this tequila “Religion”? It was very smooth indeed.
The menu
One thing is for certain, when you dine at Harlan’s you never leave hungry. 🙂
Thanks for visiting my Xmas Feast, Harlan Goldstein photo blog, & thanks to Harlan for making it a Merry Xmas. 🙂

Central Festival food hall Pattaya has recently expanded with the entire basement offering an incredible range of delicious food. The section above is near the Beach Road entrance.
Thai seafood
Squid corner has many seafood options beside squid. 🙂
If you like your food on a stick
Then this is the place for you. 🙂
A nice looking bar for a beer or two.
There are so many great beers on offer in Pattaya.
The hanging ducks of Babylon
Or should I say the hanging ducks of Central Festival food hall Pattaya?
A bottle of wine perhaps?
One of the very few things I dislike about Thailand is the horrendous tax on wine. For a price comparison check out THIS LINK.
Good prices here…
Six for B100, or $4.80 AUD, great value.
Fabulous seafood range
You name it, they have it.
Mouth watering oysters from France
Enjoying fresh oysters is one of the great passions in my life, for confirmation just follow THIS LINK.
Now I wait for these to come on special
On special the price drops to B120 for 3. Today March 8th 2020 I ordered 9 for B360 & they gave me 2 extra for free. 🙂
Sydney Rock & Coffin Bay oysters from Australia.
The thought of these makes me homesick.
Shucker at work
My friend Hamish Elton was quicker than this guy, take a look HERE.
You gotta love oysters
A great way to start a meal, however my friend Mark Yagalla paid B640 fir 6 oysters & at a counter nearby I only paid B420, so the tip is to make sure you shop around. 🙂
Central Festival food hall
The perfect lunch, fresh prawns & salmon sashimi.
To finish off a perfect lunch
A truly iconic Thai classic, mango & sticky rice.
Grill Bar adjacent to or part of Tops supermarket.
Central Festival food hall Excellent coffee, + the custard tarts were very good also. 🙂
Low cost sandwiches
At B45 & B60 they are terrific value.
Aussie lamb chops
My friend Mark Yagala said these were the best chops he has ever eaten in Thailand, only B620 or $20 USD.
Back another day for oysters, prawns & sashimi
These are the same my friend paid B620 on another counter, my cost was B420.
Absolutely delicious
Fine de Claire from France.
A repeat of what I had a few days ago.
When you are on a good thing stick to it. 🙂
Mr Donuts
Starbucks change B115 for a latte, here at Mr Donuts I paid B93 for what you see.
Baked Ham & vegetables
Absolutely delirious & only B200 or $10 AUD.
Thanks for visiting my Central Festival food hall photo blog, I intend to have lunch here at least once a week in the future.
Holiday Inn Seafood Buffet at the East Coast kitchen in the executive tower on the 6th floor. Available from Thursday night until Sunday night. Priced at B1100, very reasonable for what they offer.
Lots of seafood choices
Apart from seafood there are are a variety of Thai dishes, salads & deserts to choose from.
Oysters from Korea
I always enjoy a buffet that offers fresh oysters.
Holiday Inn Seafood Buffet
Korean oysters don’t particularly impress me, I prefer French or Australian, check out THIS LINK for lots of variety.
Barbecue prawns were delicious
Oysters to start followed by these prawns.
Delicious crab
Very fiddly to eat of course, you just need to persevere. 🙂
The busy chefs
They do a great job on the barbecue making sure everybody has plenty to eat.
There is also an indoor kitchen
When you count all the waiters & waitresses there is a huge number of polite staff looking after you.
Thai food is also available
A very good variety of food to please all pallets.
Desert to finish off an excellent dinner.
There is also lots of ice cream flavors on offer.
A choice of 2 place in the hotel for a pre dinner cocktail.
Before dinner we went to the sky bar for happy hour, two for one drinks between 5 & 7 pm are terrific value.
Holiday Inn Seafood Buffet
This is also a wonderful venue for cocktails at sunset. I’m so lucky to live only 200 meters from this fabulous hotel, I guess you could say it’s my local drinking hole. 🙂
Thanks for visiting my Holiday Inn Seafood Buffet photo blog.
Fabulous views, excellent restaurants & a very good room rate if you book through THIS LINK.
The building in the middle is the Holiday Inn, on the left is the Amari Hotel which is another very good five star hotel. Use THIS LINK to book for a very good room rate.
Fresh seafood Naklua market, it’s been 4 years since I published my blog on this lively venue, so I thought it was time to re-visit & see what changes have taken place.
The variety is amazing.
So is the crowd, better to visit mid week if you can.
Price is per kilo
I’m guessing you would get around 3 for a kilo.
Many varieties of fish
Including live fish that they will clean for you on the spot.
Fresh seafood Naklua market
Lots of fresh vegetables also on sale.
Scallops look very good.
There are so many choices, how do you make a decision on what to have for lunch? 🙂
First I’m going to try an oyster.
These are B50 each or $1.60 USD, there are also some for B40, or $1.30 USD. I can buy imported oysters from Franceat El Mercado in Bangkok for the same price.
Quite large as you can see
I was pleasantly surprised, very tasty even without lemon, lime or sauce.
OK, now for some fresh prawns
B270 or $9 USD a kilo, what a bargain.
Now here is the clincher…
This guy will cook your prawns or other seafood for B30 a kilo, how easy is that?
He will even supply a chair. 🙂
So you can eat the freshly cooked seafood right here. We had our prawns boiled rather than barbecued, so we decided to eat them at home after they cooled down.
Fabulous fresh seafood Bangkok, where else but El Mercado’s seafood room in their wonderful market restaurant. After I enjoyed another memorable lunch I purchased 2.5 dozen fresh oysters to take home to Pattaya.
Prawns look terrific.
In fact everything looks so fresh and appetizing.
The question is……
Where do you start? 🙂
Fabulous fresh seafood Bangkok, here is where I start.
Oysters natural from France, 6 No 4 Cancale B35 each or $1.70 AUD, & 6 No 3 Claire B55 each, or $2.66 AUD.
Price rise at el Mercado
It’s now June 2022 & the price for Fin de Clare hase jumped to B99 each.
Cultured on the French Atlantic coast, Fine de Claire is the favorite oyster of people who love less fleshy and more juicy oysters with a balanced taste. This oyster must be refined in the shallow water of the claires basins, according to a strictly stipulated number of months and a maximum limit on the number of oysters per square meter. The result is a less meaty but juicy oyster rich in water, with translucent or white mantle, an earthy flavor, smooth with an incredible lingering aftertaste.
How about this beauty?
I’m guessing it’s from Alaska.
Many types of oysters available
Most are from France but there are some Irish varieties as well.
OK, lets take some home to Pattaya.
The guys are packing up my “to go” box of 2.5 dozen.
Two nights later the feast begins on my balcony
Of course they need to be shucked, luckily my friend Hanish Elton, who I call the oyster man, has a glove & a knife we purchased in Coffin BaySouth Australia a few months ago.
There is a huge choice of cold cuts & cheese from all over the world. The Salami truffle was sensational.
Fabulous fresh seafood Bangkok
Here is the view from my balcony, what better place could you pick to enjoy 2.5 dozen oysters? I have eaten oysters all over the world, check THIS LINK, however this is by far the best view.
Australia has wonderful seafood, check out THIS LINK.
Thanks for visiting my Fabulous fresh seafood Bangkok photo blog. I am planning a trip to the east coast of France to indulge in an oyster feeding frenzy. 🙂

Often referred to as the Ghost Tower, the Sathorn Unique is an abandoned Bangkok skyscraper. Not only is it illegal to enter but it’s also in a state of dangerous disrepair. Where there’s a will there’s often a way, however, and many daring souls have slipped a “tip” to the security guards and made their way through the debris to experience an exhilarating adventure with glorious views over Sathorn’s towering buildings.
