Sky Gallery Pratumnak Hill

Sky Gallery Pratumnak Hill

Sky Gallery Pratumnak Hill Pattaya is a terrific venue for food & an ocean view in a very lay back enviroment. TripAdvisor rating is #91 of 1,099 Restaurants in Pattaya.

Ocean view

Looking west to Koh Larn.

Relax & enjoy the view

Sky Gallery Pratumnak Hill

This is one of the best places in Pattaya to enjoy food with a view.

Excellent bar

Sky Gallery Pratumnak Hill

My friend John Martin

Sky Gallery Pratumnak Hill

More commonly known as Pothole Bin Ladin the Mouse of Markland.

Fried rice with crab meat

Sky Gallery Pratumnak Hill

We both agree this was one of the best examples of this popular dish we have ever tasted, it was absolutely perfect.

Nice air conditioned section

Sky Gallery Pratumnak Hill

Most people tend to eat outside & enjoy the view, my preference is always the aircon. 🙂

Mango juice

Sky Gallery Pratumnak Hill

Served in a small ice bucket, it’s a well known fact that I’m a sucker for mango.

Pothole ordered fish

Sky Gallery Pratumnak Hill

In my opinion it didn’t look to attractive but apparantly it tasted fine. 🙂

Another section

Sky Gallery Pratumnak Hill

As you can see there are quite a few choices of where you can sit in this rather large establishment.

Semi outdoor setting

Sky Gallery Pratumnak Hill

It’s been abut two years since I visited this excellent restaurant, I certainly won’t leave it that long to visit again.

Rock Art Port Macquarie

Southern breakwall Hastings River

 Rock Art Port Macquarie

Rock Art Port Macquarie

Rock Art Port Macquarie actually began as an art competition in 1995 & gradually evolved into a fascinating outdoor gallery.

Rock Art Port Macquarie

Painted Rock Art Port Macquarie

Sadly after a small amount of complaints 12 in 10 years the rock art is now banned. It’s crazy how a few idiots can spoil things for the majority, what a shame the council won’t hold a vote on the issue.

Celebrating an engagement.

Rock Art Port Macquarie

Two lovers leave their mark to celebrate their engagement.

The mouth of the Hastings River

Rock Art Port Macquarie

The river descends 1,040 metres (3,410 ft) over its 180 kilometres (110 mi) course. The Hastings river descends 1,040 metres from the Great Dividing Range over its 180 kilometres journey to the coast at Port Macquarie.

Look closely and you will see the rock art. 🙂

A beautiful day to catch a fish.

Rock Art Port Macquarie

One of the locals has picked a beautiful day to fish off the rocks.

Waiting for the big one

Rock Art Port Macquarie

Actually I spoke to the guy who said he was trying to catch some small fish to use for bait.

Apparently their life is a circus.

Rock Art Port Macquarie

It says so on the rock. 🙂

A great tourist attraction

Rock Art Port MacquarieYou can spend a very interesting hour or so checking out the Painted Rock Art Port Macquarie.

And so it goes on & on, a great addition to this terrific coastal town.

  Port Macquarie’s Town Green

This is a superb park where people relax and enjoy the perfect environment beside the Hastings River.

Oxley oval

Rock Art Port Macquarie

Just a short way along the road from the painted rocks is Oxly oval where cricket & football are played in beautiful surroundings.

A beautiful park beside the river.

A great place to relax have a picnic lunch and check out the Painted Rock Art Port Macquarie.

Kuala Lumpur friendly city

September 19, 2013 by David Herd

The iconic Petronas Towers.

Kuala Lumpur friendly city

Kuala Lumpur friendly city

Kuala Lumpur friendly city and well worth adding to your travel bucket list. The amazing Petronas towers official definition and ranking indicated they were the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 until surpassed by Taipei 101, but they remain the tallest twin building in the world. The buildings are the landmark of Kuala Lumpur with nearby Kuala Lumpur Tower.

Kuala Lumpur Tower

Kuala Lumpur friendly city

Kuala Lumpur friendly city, the tower was officially opened to public on 1 May 1996,  the building is a well known landmark of Kuala Lumpur with arch-rival Petronas Towers. Ok, lets get to some photos with some color rather than these dull day shots.  😳

Pavilion shopping mall.

Kuala Lumpur friendly city

The Pavilion shopping mall is located in the heart of the trendy Bukit Bintang district, across the road is the Starhill Gallery with many terrific bars & restaurants.

A  fascinating bar with more bottles and glass I have ever seen, quite spectacular.

Good German restaurant.

Kuala Lumpur friendly city

I’m with friends from Australia Les & Robyn Scheffer, (No longer friends, I’m firmly on their black list) at a very good German restaurant, my apologies for not remembering the name of the place.

Sad to say Les passed away in March 2020 after a long battle with cancer.

Pork knuckle & a cold beer.

Kuala Lumpur friendly city

What a monster dish, it was fantastic, and in the end I was declared the winner by a narrow margin.

Very quiet compared with Bangkok.

Since the 1990s, Kuala Lumpur has played host to many international sporting, political and cultural events including the 1998 Commonwealth Games and the Formula One Grand Prix. In addition, Kuala Lumpur is home to the tallest twin buildings in the world, the Petronas Twin Towers, which have become an iconic symbol of Malaysia’s futuristic development.
