Pothole fashion icon Pattaya, Pothole Bin Ladin, aka John David Martin is the leading fashion icon in Pattaya, & perhaps the whole of south east Asia. His “kavorka” which is Latvian meaning “the lure of the animal,” is like a magnet for the Pattaya LadyBoys who constantly chase after him on his daily strolls when he is looking for company down Soi 6/1. Here are more shots of high fashion in Pattaya. There is no doubt he became a much happier person after he abandoned all hope.

He favours bright orange outfits

When he walks down Beach Rd Aussie expats often greet him as “The Jaffa”.

Is it any wonder the girls all scream “HANDSOME MAN” when he walks by?

Dining with a bunch of Aussies. I must point out the two guys on the left are well know for being total tightwads, in fact years ago I named the one in the black shirt “Stingy”. 🙂

I must say Pothole is definately not a tightwad.

In fact this shot would have cost him plenty in Soi 6.

It was 2001 & I had a couple of days in Sydney before flying to Brazil. That’s our old friend paul Slaughter & Kathy who was Pothole’s girlfriend at the time.

Pattaya Leisure Wear Capital

Pattaya Leisure Wear Capital, generally when you think of state of the art fashion, Paris & Milan come to mind, however Pattaya is now throwing down a challenge, particularly in cutting edge beach haute couture as you can clearly see.

Be impressed, be very impressed.

Quite possibly a male model recently arrived from the catwalks of New York or London. Hoping to fly under the radar in Pattaya.

A fashion breakthrough

Here’s proof the shorter man can still dazzle with the latest in sporting wear.

One of our local chick magnets

John Martin aka Pothole Bin Ladin is well known throughout Pattaya for dressing in this famous Jaffa outfit. Pictured here with club owner “Storming” Greg Clee who often uses Pothole as a “chick magnet” to attract top shelf ladies to work in his “go go” bar in Walking Street.

Storming likes to be called “Jack” after the beautiful Jacaranda tree that grew in a paddock near his home in South Australia, under which he lost his virginity at 19 years of age to a buxom country girl who wouldn’t take no for an answer. 🙂

Difficult to decide, this spectacular outfit simply underscores Pattaya’s claim to be the men’s fashion capital of the world. Not too sure if the blue chapeau with the jaffa shoes is the right choice. 🙂

A stroke of genius to add the backpack & blue Crocs to blend in delightfully with this casual travel outfit.

Style?

In fact he has more style than a rat with a gold tooth.

The orange ensemble or the yellow.

A shoppers nightmare, both outfits are fabulous, only real solution is to buy both.

The return of the Do Rag

This sun tanning Adonis cleverly matches his do rag to his towel, and along with his mankini he manages to show off his magnificent physique to it’s best advantage.

While on the subject of Do Rags

This mature chick magnet has dressed a little more upmarket than some of the previous male models featured in my Pattaya Leisure Wear Fashion Capital photo blog.

This guy has more style than a rat with a gold tooth.

One thing I notice in Pattaya the girls always seem to go for the snappy dresser.

Fashion at its peak.

Let’s just call him Mr Suave.

But wait, there’s more.

Mr Suave is back, notice the ever so subtle difference in his cutting edge fashion statement.

Lagerfeld or Walmart?

An Australian senior citizen visiting the Atlantic bar in Pattaya is determined to make an impression on the ladies. This was February 19 2019 the day Karl Otto Lagerfeld sadly past away. The shirt above & the passing of Karl have absolutely no connection whatsoever.
