Nagoya Castle completed 1612
Nagoya Castle completed 1612 but most of the buildings in the complex were burned down during the World War II air raids in 1945. Fortunately, however, three corner towers, three gates, and most of the paintings on the sliding doors and walls in the Hommaru Palace survived the fire.
Always lots of students visiting the castles.
I’m guessing this may be the 12th castle I have visited in Japan. It puts into perspective life many hundreds of years ago.

Beauty in many forms is around every corner in Japan.

All part of life’s rich pageant. 🙂
