Storm pulverises Pattaya
Storm pulverises Pattaya on the morning of August 27 2021. Naturally the beach was badly damaged as usual. However the council will roll out the heavy equipment tomow & quickly repair the damage. This photo was taken from my balcony at markland Condo around 11 am.
Due to the wild downpour
It does not take long for the beach to be damaged.
Tonnes of sand is washed away
I think this may be a dress rehersal for next month, September of course is Pattaya’s wettest month.
Opposite Markland Condo
Loacated opposite Soi 2 in north Pattaya.
That’s the A-One Hotel in the foreground
The damage is the same every 50 or 60 meters along the beach. Usually opposite a Soi, the water floods downhill from 2nd Road.
Soi Diana is flooded
It seems every part of Pattaya is affected.
Patrick’s Belgium Steakhouse
As you can see there is water all along the arcade. However apparantly none acually got to the inside of the restaurant.
Patrick’s
Looking down the arcade to 2nd Road.
Storm pulverises Pattaya & the arcade is underwater
Hopefully all the restaurants escaped serious damage.
Many Pattaya roads flooded
This result is not unusual, it’s a common occurance in the wet season.
Beach Road
All this floodwater spills over to the beach and causes lots of damage.
Jomtien Beach
Imagine the force needed to inflict this amount of damage.
Ok let’s just fix it. 🙂
They moved fairly quickly to repair the damage.
Have you checked your boat lately?
This can only end in tears.
The Pattaya weather forecast
Spot on I would say. 🙂
The last big storm
The following day the heavey equipment was hard at work reparing the damage, I’m sure they will return again tomorrow.
August 29
Two days after the big storm it has been raining most of the night causing this damage.
Huge pumps opposite Soi 6
Even these smart looking pumps can’t cope with the volume of water.
Reinforcments have arrived
Whoever has the contract for repairing the beach is making a fortune. 🙂
Hopefully this is what awaits.
I thought I would include a photo of a beautiful Pattaya day, hopefully this weather will return soon.
Many thanks for visiting my Storm pulverises Pattaya photo blog, I must admit I really love a big storm, it’s just a shame it results in so much damge to the beach.
