Sexy Phuket Thai girls LadyBoys

Sexy Phuket Thai girls LadyBoys when I was there with my friend John Secrets in July 2005. This was only 6 months after the Tsunami disaster that took so many lives.

OK, lets start with the LadyBoys

Sexy Phuket Thai girls LadyBoys

Sexy Phuket Thai girls LadyBoys, it is amazing how many transgenders there are in Thailand where society totally accepts them without question or prejudice. Kathoey or katoey is a Thai term that refers to either a transgender woman or an effeminate gay male in Thailand. While a significant number of Thais perceive kathoeys as belonging to a third gender, including many kathoeys themselves, others see them as either a kind of man or a kind of woman. Related phrases include sao (or phuying) praphet song (Thai: สาวประเภทสอง,”a second kind of woman”) and phet thi sam (Thai: เพศที่สาม, “third gender”). The word kathoey is of Khmer origin. It is most often rendered as ladyboy or lady boy in English conversation with Thais and this latter expression has become popular across South East Asia.

You are looking the wrong way John.

Sexy Phuket Thai girls LadyBoysMy friend John seems to be enjoying himself way too much. 🙂 Ladyboys really are quite prominent in Thailand and are seemingly accepted by society, not only in the cities but in the countrysides as well. It seems as though it is the relaxed attitude of acceptance and tolerance in Buddhism that keeps people from shunning their lifestyles, although many other Buddhist countries are not as willing to accept a ladyboy living their life in public. Thai Buddhism specifically does not regard homosexuality as a sin and has no specific prohibitions regarding their lifestyle. Though Kathoey continually face discrimination they are gaining acceptance and have made themselves a very distinct part of the Thai society; however, they still have not yet attained equal status with those who are not transgender. There are many restrictions that come with the identity, one being the inability to marry someone of the same sex, another not being able to officially change their birth sex on birth certificates or passports.

Now I’m really worried about him

Sexy Phuket Thai girls LadyBoys Perhaps I should rush off and grab a bucket of cold water to throw on him, then again the LadyBoys would probably beat me to death. 🙂

Lets move the emphasis to the female of the species

Sexy attitude

Thailand is famous for the girly bars, discos & pole dancing, you don’t have to go to Nana Plaza in Bangkok as the main street in Patong offers quite a large selection of places where you can get into all sorts of trouble.

The one on the left we nick-named the Bull-ant.

Sexy Phuket Thai girls LadyBoys

The one on the left we nick-named the Bull-ant because she was so feisty and confident, the girl on the right had a bandaged knee obviously due to falling off a motorbike which is a common occurrence in Thailand.

What, no smile?

Sexy Phuket Thai girls LadyBoys

This girl was absolutely gorgeous, and yes she did look so much better when she smiled.

Some big smiles here.

Sexy Phuket Thai girls LadyBoys I think my friend John was asking a question here, “what time can we start having fun”?

And the answer is………right now big boy 🙂

Sexy Phuket Thai girls LadyBoys

Say no more.

What a beautiful face

Sexy Phuket Thai girls LadyBoys This girl was a beautiful tourist from London so I bought her a couple of drinks just so I could gaze at that face for 30 minutes or so. 🙂

Bright lights in Patong

Sexy Phuket Thai girls LadyBoys Not as much action as Walking St Pattaya, not not too bad.

OK, lets get back to the LadyBoys

Sexy Thai girls LadyBoys My friend John is at it again.

Come back big boy, I make you happy.

Sexy Phuket Thai girls LadyBoys At this stage John was in full retreat, and my faith was restored in him. 🙂

We always stay at the Patong Bay Garden Resort or The Thara Resort

Patong Bay Garden Resort This hotel is by far the best spot right on the beach in Patong.

We really need to have another look at “The Bull-Ant”

Sexy Phuket Thai girls LadyBoys It’s very hard not to have fun in Thailand, thousands of beautiful are on hand to make sure you do. I actually live in Pattaya just south of Bangkok but I always enjoy visiting the islands, Phuket, Koh Samui & Koh Chang.

My history, particularly over the last 30 years is dominated by overseas travel. I sold my home in Australia October 20th 2011 and have have been living in Thailand since then. I don’t know where the time has gone? It seems like you go to sleep one night, wake up the next morning, and 20 years have flashed by. Not sure how many years I have left, however I have enjoyed a wonderful charmed life, and if it all ended today I would leave this world with no regrets. I was born in Sydney halfway through the last century, started my travels in the 60s with the usual U.K. Europe adventure at the age of 20, back to Australia and worked in Sydney, Melbourne & Adelaide in Sales & Marketing with multinational companies including Sanyo, Canon & Remington. Engaged to be married 3 times and never quite made it to the alter, finally realized by the mid 90s I was not cut out for "long term relationships" so I moved to the Gold Coast in Queensland in January 1987, worked for a couple of banks as a Financial Planner, I took a year off work in 1998 to travel and never went back to full time work again, after 25 fun filled years on the Coast I packed up and moved to Thailand. What is the purpose of this blog? Well I really want to use it to record my travel experiences & to display my photographs, give and receive travel tips, comment on places I visit, restaurants I eat in and use it to replace the autobiography I intended to write, apart from all that it helps me fill in my day. :)

  1. Say hallo to John , I have not seen him since about 2005/6 , we were mutual friends of Sinclair Waters who passed away August 2004 from memory . So how is John going these days. ? I have retired a couple of years ago and live in Phuket most of the year, coming back to Adelaide for a couple of months a year. I am currently here now but return to Phuket in early May , say hallo to John , will have to catch up again in the next few months , as I need to go to Bangkok to get a passport for my young son David. Regards, Bob

    • Hi Bob, I passed your message and address along to John, he has been living in Bangkok for around 5 years and is well and happy.

  2. Enjoy your site David.
Will be there mid July for the marathon.
Never stopped off at the Cherry Bar before , look forward to doing so on this trip.
