Five Star hotels in Pattaya.
Pattaya Luxury Five Star hotels
Siam @ Siam is a Five Star Hotel
Pattaya Luxury Five Star hotels overlooking Pattaya beach are The Amari, The Holiday Inn The Hilton & the Dusit. Amari has the nicest grounds & pool area + the magnificent Mantra restaurant, the Hilton is above an upmarket shopping mall & is the most central, Holiday Inn has the best pizzas, the Dusit in North Pattaya has the best Dim Sum. 😉
The Beach Club at the Pullman Hotel.
Book through THIS Link for a great room rate.
Wongamat has a far nicer nicer beach than Pattaya, check out the Pullman Hotel. Their Beach club is a great bar with a happy hour every day from 5 to 7pm. Excellent seafood buffet Friday & Saturday night. The Pullman is really a 3.5 star hotel in a 5 star location, & should not be in my budget section.

The luxury Dusit hotel is perched on the point at North Pattaya, lovely well kept gardens and loaded with old world charm. A special travel tip is to seek out the the Peak Chinese restaurant which is rather hard to find. Perhaps that is why it is rarely crowded at lunch time when they serve the best Yum Cha in Pattaya. There is also a nice Italian restaurant called the Bay with views, you guessed it, overlooking the bay. Book your hotel here for the guaranteed best price and choose when you wish to pay, now or when you check out. I also reviewed The Peak on TripAdvisor.
Peak restaurant Dusit.
The fabulous Pattaya Hilton Hotel.
Located at the center of Pattaya beach and perched on top of Central Festival, a world class shopping mall, the Hilton hotel has it all. Wonderful restaurants, amazing decor and a breathtaking view across the bay. This is definitely one of the best Pattaya Five Star Hotels. Book the fabulous Hilton here.
Nick & Sharon from Australia relaxing at the Hilton.
Horizons at the Hilton
Happy hour every night 5 to 7 pm.
The Amari hotel is in a great location with beautiful grounds and excellent swimming pools. They also have the best restaurant in Pattaya, the magnificent Mantra. This is one of my favourite Pattaya hotels, you can book it here.
Sunday brunch at the Mantra.
I believe the Mantra Sunday brunch is the best value five star food in the world. Alaskan Crab, Oysters from France, New Zealand lamb cutlets, the list goes on. There are seven different kitchens offering food from all around the world. Cost is 1,999 Baht or $80, 4 years ago t was B1,700.
The Amari & Holiday Inn.
These two great Pattaya Five Star hotels are are the north end of Beach rd in Pattaya.
Situated on Beach rd north Pattaya next door to the Amari Hotel. The Holiday Inn serve wonderful wood fired pizzas in the courtyard, if you order before 5pm or any time Tuesday the pizzas are half price. Another nice feature is half price sandwiches, cakes and pies in the coffee shop off the foyer after 7pm at night. Book the Holiday Inn here.
Pizza at Holiday Inn.
The only time I have had a better pizza was 3 years ago in Florence with my friend Francesca. The wine I am enjoying is called “Kiss my Kangaroo”, can you believe that name? However it is surprisingly good and so is the Cuban music. My apologies for the poor quality photo. I also put a review on TripAdvisor.

Amari & Holiday Inn
To the right of the Holiday Inn is where I live at Markland Condo.
For a luxury hotel away from the maddening crowd you can’t go past the Royal Cliff. An elevator will take you down to Cosy beach where the water is clean and you can enjoy a massage on the beach. This is where I stayed on my first visit to Pattaya in 1980. This is definitely a five star hotel.
The Royal Cliff is certainly on of Pattaya’s best hotels, very popular for conventions and has great ocean views. An elevator takes you down to Breezes restaurant and Cosy Beach. A little bit away from downtown Pattaya which many people prefer.
Royal Cliff Hotel, opened in 1974 & was in fact where I stayed on my first visit to Pattaya in 1980. Look closely and you will see the elevator that takes you down to Cosy beach.
Breezeo at Royal Cliff
Breezes is a great spot for a nice casual lunch by the sea. For great room rates book the Royal Cliff here.
Cape Dara is one of the new Pattaya Five Star hotels at Wongamat which is the next beach north of Pattaya.
Nice pool at Cape Dara
The hotel has a bus service to take guests on the short five minute trip to Pattaya, the hotel address is 256 Dara Beach, Soi 20, Pattaya-Naklua Road, Pattaya, Chon Buri 20150, Thailand Phone:+66 38 933 888.
MING XING RESTAURANT
Great decor at the Cantonese restaurant, I had the Dim Sum which was great value at 490 Baht or $15. Eat as much as you want, hard to beat at this price. Book a room at Cape Dara here.
SIAM @ SIAM, the new kid on the block.
I took these photos on the day Siam @ Siam opened, Sunday December 13 2013. Th first guests are due on Dec 24th. These shots are from the Car bar on the ground floor. I will add more when the Sky Bar opens soon.
Fantastic lamb shank
Each week I visit Siam @ Siam to have the wonderful Massaman curry slow cooked lamb shank. I reviewed it on TripAdvisor.

Located at the southern end of Pattaya at Phratamnak, a few steps from the beautiful beach, this five-star hotel is just 10 minutes from Pattaya city centre and less than two hours from Bangkok. Centara Grand Phratamnak features a stylish design with a dramatic marine themed lobby, Italian furnishings, and a pool and Jacuzzi on the rooftop. The hotel features 165 exquisitely appointed guestrooms, each including smart TV, Nespresso machines, a large balcony or terrace, delicate cotton bed sheets, in-room safe, and rain shower.
My lovely friend Amy
My lovely friend Amy has moved from the Mantra at the Amari hotel to the Centara Grand, I recently enjoyed their first Sunday seafood buffet which was outstanding.
Sunday seafood buffet
I think the buffet is once per month, however I will clarify it soon.
Beautiful suite at Centara
Kantary Hotel, 2.5 hours north of Pattaya.
Kantary Hotel Kabinburi is rather special, particularly if you are a golfer. The standard of the hotel is fantastic & the golf package can’t be beat. For 3000 Baht or $90 usd, which sadly is now $104 aud, you get 2 18 hole rounds of golf on the magnificent Kabinburi Sport Club which proudly boasts of being the longest course in Thailand. Add to that one nights accommodation & breakfast included, makes this the best value golf package in Thailand. If that was not enough the three of us were all upgraded to a wonderful one bedroom suite which is the best hotel accommodation I have ever seen anywhere in the country.
