Great value at Foodland
Best cheap Pattaya restaurants, there are hundreds of them. Lets start with Foodland, a well known supermarket chain in Thailand, in each store you will find an excellent fast food counter. The quality is excellent, the food is always fresh because of the turnover, (it is always crowded) and the price is so cheap, for instance breakfast is about $2, and lunch under $3.
New shopping mall next door
Harbor opened in April 2016 and have a host of good low priced restaurants of every variety. Plenty of exceptional Japanese restaurants there as well, along with all the popular coffee shops.
Central Festival food hall
Located in the basement of Pattaya’s most luxurious shopping mall is the food hall. A very cheap fast selection of good food. Always crowded because of the excellent value.
Mango & sticky rice
The food hall at Central Festival shopping mall has a great selection of deserts including a Thai specialty, mango & sticky rice. Yesterday I ordered this after my roast duck with vegetables & steamed rice, including a clear soup for a total cost of 280 Baht or $10.20. Please click on Google + to help my page ranking.
There are lots of good low cost restaurants here at Harbor shopping mall.
KFC at Central Festival.
I would not normally mention a fast food outlet in my post, however there are exceptions. KFC without a doubt have one of the best views in Pattaya, so while the kids devour their chicken nuggets etc, sit there and soak up the view.
Beer Garden near Walking St
The Beer Garden offers good low cost food with a wonderful view of Pattaya Bay, a great spot to dine before hitting the bright lights of Walking Street. To find the entrance you must walk past all the bars near the kick boxing. Like most Thai restaurants the menu is a huge selection of western or Thai food.
This is an excellent Chinese Thai restaurant in Pattaya Klang specialising in duck & live seafood.
The food is excellent and reasonably priced.
I am sure you are surprised to find the Holiday Inn here, however Tuesday night is pizza special, I shared 1/2 with my brother Warren & enjoyed 4 glasses of smooth red wine from Chile, (2 for 1 before 7pm) my total cost was $28 aud, priceless.
Holiday Inn is a great place to meet
A great outlook from the Holiday Inn.
Dining in a car park.
Great value Thai food here, average cost for dinner or lunch 200 Baht or $6. Next to theAlcazar carpark in 2nd road North Pattaya, opposite Soi 4, if you see a tall beautiful Thai woman here I can guarantee it is a ladyboy.
Across the road from the beach near Soi 4 is Deutsches Haus where I often have lunch & occasionally breakfast. German sausages & potato salad for 190 Baht or $6.90. Shock horror! They have just raised the price from 190 to 250 Baht so I have taken them off my list of places to go. A 30% rise seems unreasonable. 🙂
Welcome inn Soi 3 North Pattaya.
These lovely ladies all work at the Welcome Inn in Soi 3 North Pattaya. The Thai food here is quite outstanding and so inexpensive. They also offer western food which is also very good, I am hooked on Hippo soup, don’t ask me what it is made of, kind of like a thick vegetable curry taste, I have it a couple of times a week.
Sadly this long time favourite of mine closed at the end of April 2015 due to a re-development, it will be missed.
Welcome Inn, gone baby gone.
La Boulange Pattaya French Bakery
There is not a shadow of a doubt in my mind the bake the best baguettes in Pattaya. For B85 they will build a ham & salad roll to die for. Address: 245/166 Moo 9, Pattaya 3rd Rd, Phone:+66 38 414 914.
Oishi Ramen low cost Japanese.
Oishi Ramen is another chain of very low cost Japanese & Thai food, I have lunch at least twice a week at the Big C mall on 2nd road north Pattaya. The Salmon and salad shown above with bottomless Green Tea costs 220 Baht or $6.60 usd, great value. Another branch at Central Festival. More information about Oishi click here.
Oishi Japanese Buffet Restaurant
The buffet is excellent value at around 400 Baht or $14, eat as much as you want. I don’t rate the food as highly as Fuji however you can’t beat the value for one of the cheap Pattaya restaurants.
Mae Sri Ruen
Mae Sri Ruen is right next door the Central festival on Beach Rd and serves good fresh Thai food at very low prices. The BBQ pork & dumpling soup is one of my favourites, add spring rolls and the price is 120 Baht or a touch over $4.
Another favorite at Big C
It is right opposite Fuji is Hachiban Ramen, the Gyoza & Teriyaki chicken is to die for, only 153 Baht for the two, priceless. There is another branch on the ground floor of Tukcom at the rear as well as Central Festival.
I eat here at least twice a week, now I go to Central Festival.
This new sports bar in Chateau Dale Complex, Thappraya Rd. Jomtien has an excellent menu with very good low price food. Lots of TV screens for the sports lovers and a playground for the kids.
Fraser’s is an excellent place to eat and watch your favourite sport.

Massaman Chicken & Roti at Candy Candy.
A very tasty dish at 85 Baht or $3.30 aud.
Soho Village Plaza
Almost next door to Candy Candy in 2nd Rd is Soho Village Plaza, one of the best food courts in Pattaya.
One of my favourite places to eat.
Lobster soup to die for
Only 150 Baht and as good as I have had in more expensive restaurants, washed down with a nice glass of red. 🙂
Pizza Pizza at the Avenue
They serve excellent pasta as well.
Jim’s Burger & Beers Pattaya
Terrific burgers & lots of beers, sadly however no red wine. 🙂
Practice between beers at Jim’s.
How many restaurants do you know that have a basketball hoop?
For an excellent budget not far from Jim’s Burgers just book through THIS LINK for a great rate.
Leckerle in Soi 33 Naklua
Located about 200 meters from the Dolphin roundabout. Very good low cost German food, always busy.
